Type: Mammal Diet: Carnivore Size: 10.75 ft (3.3 m) Weight: 660 lbs (300 kg) Protection status: Endangered

The Wildlife Conservation society (WCS) has stated that the last remaining Siberian tiger population is very likely to significantly reduce it's size due to loss of habitation caused by a rising tide of poaching, which have been caused by tribes trying to protect themselves and hunters looking to make money. The WCS estimated a 40% decline in the Tiger population. However the WCS is working with the russian government to try to enforce the law in the regions which the tigers are located in. Many other smaller organizations are also forming to help the mammals. Such as many websites informing you of the crisist and showing you ways in which you can help save the beautifull animals. The WCS is aware that the current news is bad, however they belive that they can reverse the cource in which the tigers are heading."While the results are indeed bad news in the short term, we believe the overall picture for Siberian tigers remains positive," said Colin Poole, director of Asia Programs for the WCS. "There is an enormous amount of good will for saving Siberian tigers. We just need to translate this into action." One of the ways in which the WCS has made an effort to help the Siberian tigers is they have made their website opened for donations which will go towards seving the tigers

What are some of the ways in which the WCS, and the everyday people can help the Siberian Tiger population?

Where would be a good place to try to relocate the Siberian Tigers?
