Use hyperlinks, cite sources, and never plagerize. Give the credit to who it's due. Never think of someone else's source, sometimes be creative.

Publish work that is available for peer-review
Always publish new matrerial, and always be original. Try to leave it open for people to feel free to respond on. Try to answer the question, or need fully, and in complete sentences.

Discuss published work with a practicing biologist in that particular field
Always give him/ her the given respect that he/she deserves. Ask questions as a eager, open-minded student. Always be open-minded to what he/she says. Be open-minded to his/her opinions. Hope for him/her to be open-minded to you.

Always pay attention to details when I read someone else's articles or web posts. Also, always think of positive things to say, not negative ones.

Discuss in-class assignments
Participate as much as I can in class, and in the blogs and wiki pages. Also, complete the given assignments, also review them if there's a day in between discussing them and finishing them.

Apply creativity to work
Use the creative part of my brain, I think I'm very creative. I come up with great stories, analogies, and metaphors so I think i will be easy for me considering I'm a creative person. Possibly make a video, or draw, computerize a poster, possibly even do a live performance of something.

The basic prosthetic arm is used for people who have lost any of their limbs due to accidents, diseases, birth defects etc. Prosthetic arms are replicas of human arms. They look like arms, and they are placed where you lost the limb, and it acts as a fill in. It doesn’t move, it's just acting as a place holder where you've lost your limb. Soldiers lose limbs sometimes when fighting war for their country. A basic prosthetic arm is a perfect solution for this problem.
this picture is an example of what a prosthetic arm looks like. First signs of artificial limbs were discovered in Capua, Italy, which date all the way back to 300 BCE! It was called the Roman Capua Leg. Unlike today where we have modern technology to make the limbs, theirs were made of copper and wood. From 1295-664 BCE which is even older! Two artificial toes have been found on Egyptian mummies. In the 15th and 16th centuries armorers began making artificial limbs made of iron for soldiers in battle who lost their limbs. In the next coming centuries, craftsmen began making artificial limbs from wood and not metal because wood was lighter, and easier for people to have. Meanwhile iron limbs were a burden because they were so heavy.

There are four main types of artificial limbs, but only two main types of artificial arms. A transradial prosthesis is an artificial limb which replaces an arm missing below the elbow. Two exclusive types of prosthetics are available for a transradial prosthesis. The Limbs are cable operated and re use by attaching a harness and a cable around the shoulder opposite of your damged arm. The other form of prosthetics are called myoelectric limbs. These work by sensor, or by way of an electrical conductor. When the muscles toward the upper arm move they cause an artificial hand to move. This hand has the ability to open or close, just like a real one. A transhumeral prosthesis is the other type of artificial limb. A transhumeral prosthesis is a limb that replaces an arm that is missing above the elbow. People who have had a limb amputated experience a few of the same problems as other amputees due to the similar design of the movement of the elbow. These artificial limbs can be cost from as little as $6,000 all the way up to $35,000 depending on what kid of artificial arm you purchase. The one thing people don't know is that artificial limbs have to be replaced every 3-4 years due to wear and tear. Replicating the movement of the elbow is a very difficult task because of the complexity the elbow has, which makes artificial limbs with movement ("bionic arms") so much more incredible.

A more advanced prosthetic arm, otherwise known as the bionic arm, is a replica of real human arms, which move in human-like ways. The prosthetic arms are constructed with a lot of precision. There are different parts of prosthetic arms to match the parts of human arms. Prosthetic arms can do all of the same movements as a regular human arm such as flexing your wrist, shaking someone’s hand, writing, eating, and even typing.
This video was shot at Johns Hopkins University and it shows the mechanics, detail, precision nd step-by-step proceure it takes to construct a successful prosthetic arm. Prosthetic limbs have given people the experience they thought they'd never have. In this video Claudia Mitchell, a former marine has gotten her arm amputated due to a motorcycle accident. She claimed, "It feels more real than i ever expected it to." In this source there are the actual mechanics of the new robotic arm powered by rockets. This is how the new bionic arm works. The propellant cartridge contains pressurized liquid hydrogen peroxide, which is routed through two flexible lines across the elbow joint and into two catalyst packs. The catalyst burns the hydrogen peroxide, generating steam that pushes pistons up and down allowing the arm to move. This new type of arm, due to rocket power can lift up to 25 lbs of weight in that one arm 3 times more, and 3 times faster than current commercial arms. This is the closest thing to a human arm. When they replace a human's arm and give them a bionic arm, it's almost as if they've never lost an arm to begin with. They make it nearly as good as new.

Lionel, this is a great concept for a blog post, but you need to have more facts and information. I liked how you used a video to give life to your blog post, and the picture you have is pretty vivid. But you still need to find out more information, I would focus on getting more research. It you get more information, this can turn out to be a really great post.
